Community Guidelines

HushFun is an 18+ space for the kink, BDSM and adult community. It runs on consent and respect, and it takes your privacy seriously. These are the standards that keep it that way.

Last updated: 25 June 2026

In short: treat everyone here as a consenting adult who deserves respect, discretion and safety. These guidelines work alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Breaking them can lead to warnings, suspension or a permanent, identity-bound ban.

1. The spirit of HushFun

HushFun exists to give adults a discreet, private space to explore kink, BDSM, relationships and intimacy alongside people who take it seriously. Whatever your role, identity or interests, there is room for you here, so long as you bring respect and a real commitment to consent.

We are unapologetically sex-positive and non-judgemental about kink between consenting adults. We are equally firm on the things that keep a community like this healthy: consent is non-negotiable, everyone's privacy is protected, and there is zero tolerance for anything that exploits, coerces or endangers another person.

These guidelines are written in plain language so everyone knows what is expected. They apply to every part of HushFun — your profile, discovery and matchmaking, feeds and images, friend requests, follows, likes and reactions, groups, events, meets, one-to-one and group messaging, your inbox, and any linked couple account. By being here, you agree to uphold them.

Consent is the standard we will never compromise on. It is what makes everything else here possible, and we treat it as the most important rule in the community.

Consent on HushFun means:

  • Enthusiastic. A real, willing "yes" — not a reluctant one, not silence, and never an assumption. If you're unsure, ask.
  • Informed. Everyone understands what they're agreeing to. Be honest about your intentions, your limits and what you're looking for.
  • Freely given. No pressure, guilt-tripping, coercion, threats or manipulation. If someone says no, pushing past it counts as harassment.
  • Specific. Agreeing to one thing (a chat, an image, a meet) is not agreeing to everything. Consent doesn't transfer between contexts.
  • Ongoing and revocable. Consent can be withdrawn at any time, by anyone, for any reason. When someone changes their mind or sets a boundary, respect it immediately and without argument.

Respect limits and respect a "no", whether it comes up in chat, in images, in groups or in person. A boundary tells you where someone stands. Take that as useful information and honour it. Negotiating scenes, dynamics and expectations openly is part of the culture here, and it's something we celebrate.

3. Respect & anti-harassment

Everyone here is a real adult exploring something personal. Treat others the way you'd want to be treated, and assume good faith until you have a reason not to.

The following are not welcome on HushFun:

  • Harassment of any kind: bullying, threats, intimidation, stalking, or repeatedly contacting someone who hasn't responded or has asked you to stop.
  • Hate speech and discrimination: attacks or slurs based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, body, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, relationship style or any other protected characteristic.
  • Unsolicited explicit content or messages. Don't send sexual images, propositions or explicit messages to people who haven't indicated they want them. Kink-shaming and pressuring others into your interests are equally out of bounds.
  • Degrading or abusive behaviour outside of what has been clearly, consensually negotiated between adults.

You can disagree with someone without ever tipping into abuse, and we draw a hard line the moment it does. If someone makes you uncomfortable, you can block and report them at any time. We back members who set boundaries, and our community-review system lets people rate how respectfully and reliably others actually show up.

4. Verification & authenticity

HushFun is a community of real, verified adults, and we work hard to keep it that way. Authenticity is what makes trust here possible.

  • Be a real person, as yourself. No impersonation, no pretending to be someone you're not, and no catfishing. Your profile should reflect the actual person behind it.
  • No bots, scams or fraud. Automated accounts, spam, phishing, financial scams, "sugar" bait, off-platform payment lures and similar schemes are strictly prohibited and removed on sight.
  • Honest representation. Use images that actually show you and details that are truthful. Misleading people about who you are undermines consent before a conversation even starts.

Our identity model backs this up. Verification is bound to a real, unique adult through a trusted third-party check, and your documents are never stored on HushFun's servers. We keep only a cryptographic proof that you passed. The same check that confirms you're 18+ is what opens up the full, explicit experience. Because verification is tied to a real identity, a banned member can't simply spin up a new account to get back in. You can read the full picture on our Safety page.

5. Content rules — allowed & prohibited

HushFun is an adult platform, and consensual adult content is welcome within the rules below. That covers both non-intimate and intimate images shared between verified adults. What is never welcome is content that harms, exploits or is shared without consent.

5.1 Zero tolerance — absolutely no minors

There is zero tolerance for any content that sexualises, depicts, describes or involves anyone under 18. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any attempt to access, request, share or facilitate it. We remove such content immediately, terminate the account, preserve relevant information, and report to law enforcement and the relevant authorities as required by law. Helping or encouraging anyone under 18 to access HushFun is also strictly prohibited.

5.2 Always prohibited

  • Non-consensual or "revenge" content: intimate images or recordings of any person shared without their clear, informed consent, including image-based abuse and threats to share.
  • Doxxing: publishing or threatening to publish someone's private or identifying information (real name, address, workplace, contact details, other accounts) without their consent.
  • Illegal content or activity of any kind, and content that promotes, instructs or facilitates it.
  • Content depicting non-consenting people, including covertly captured images and anything shared without the consent of every identifiable adult shown.
  • Content involving actual harm: non-consensual violence, exploitation, trafficking, or anything that endangers a real person's safety. (Consensual, negotiated adult kink between verified members is a different thing entirely and is welcome within the rules.)

5.3 Allowed within the rules

  • Profile, lifestyle and non-intimate images that honestly represent you.
  • Consensual intimate and explicit imagery of yourself, or of adults who have given you their explicit consent to share it.
  • Honest discussion, education and negotiation around kink, BDSM and relationships between consenting adults.

Only upload content you have the right to share, that depicts only consenting adults aged 18 or over, and that you have every shown person's consent to post. When in doubt, don't post it.

6. Intimate images & tiered visibility

Sharing intimate images is a normal part of an adult community, and we give you control over who sees what. Explicit content on HushFun is reserved for verified, confirmed-18+ members. It isn't shown to people who haven't completed ID verification.

Our norms around intimate media are simple:

  • Your visibility is yours to set. Use the platform's tiered controls to decide who can view your intimate images: broadly to verified members, to your connections, or unlocked person by person.
  • Access is specific, and it stays that way. Granting one person access to an image is not permission for them to save, re-share or distribute it, and it's not consent for anything else.
  • Respect what others share with you. If someone unlocks an intimate image for you, it stays between you. Re-sharing it, screenshotting it or showing it to others without their explicit consent is a serious breach (see Section 7).
  • Only share what's yours and consensual. Every identifiable adult in an intimate image must have agreed to it being on HushFun.

7. Privacy & discretion

Discretion is part of the deal here. Many members are exploring a private side of themselves, and protecting each other's anonymity is a shared responsibility.

  • Don't screenshot or save other members' content, images, profiles or conversations to share elsewhere without their consent.
  • Don't out anyone. Never reveal, hint at or share another member's real-world identity, presence on HushFun, or private information without their explicit permission.
  • Keep private things private. What's shared in chats, groups and meets stays there unless everyone involved is happy for it to travel.
  • Protect your own privacy too. Think before sharing identifying details, and use the privacy controls and approximate location features built into the platform. Your exact location is never revealed to others.

Privacy is built into HushFun by design. Honouring it for each other is what makes the community feel safe enough to be real.

8. Meets & real-world safety

Meets, whether real-world or virtual, are one of the best parts of HushFun, and they deserve the same consent and care as everything else. The standards that apply online apply in person too.

  • Consent still applies in person. Anything agreed in chat can be revisited, renegotiated or withdrawn once you meet. Check in, respect limits, and stop the moment consent does.
  • Meet safely. Take sensible precautions. Get to know someone first, meet somewhere public to begin with where you can, tell a trusted friend your plans, and trust your instincts. If something feels off, you're always free to leave.
  • Honesty carries into the room. Be the person your profile says you are, and hold others to the same.

Please note that HushFun helps people connect but is not responsible for offline conduct and cannot supervise real-world meets. You are responsible for your own safety and decisions when you choose to meet. We strongly encourage you to read our safety guidance and use the tools we provide. See the Safety page for more.

9. Groups, events & meets conduct

Groups, events and meets bring the community together around shared interests. Keep them welcoming and on the level.

  • Follow the space's rules. Groups, events and meets may set their own boundaries, themes and entry expectations. Respect them, and respect the people hosting.
  • Hosts: be clear and fair. If you create or run a group, event or meet, set expectations up front, describe things accurately, and uphold consent and respect for everyone who joins or shares it.
  • No using community spaces to harm. Don't use groups, events or meets to harass, scam, recruit for prohibited activity, or pressure others.
  • Keep it consensual and on-topic. Don't derail spaces with unsolicited explicit content or push interests onto members who haven't opted in.

10. Reporting & enforcement

Keeping HushFun safe is a partnership between our team and our community. If you see something that breaks these guidelines, please tell us.

10.1 How to report

Use the in-app reporting and blocking tools on profiles, messages, images, groups, events and meets to flag anything that concerns you. For anything serious or urgent, you can also contact us directly at support@hushfun.com. Reports are treated with discretion.

10.2 What happens next

Real people review reports, supported by our safety systems. Action is proportionate to what's happened, and can include:

  • A warning for minor or first-time breaches, with guidance on what needs to change.
  • Content removal and limits on certain features.
  • Temporary suspension while we investigate or as a consequence of a breach.
  • Permanent, identity-bound bans for serious or repeated breaches. Because bans are tied to verified identity, a removed member can't just create a new account to return.

These decisions tie into the same community-review and anti-ban systems described on our Safety page, and into the moderation and enforcement terms in our Terms of Use. For the most serious matters (anything involving minors, non-consensual content or threats to safety) we act immediately, preserve relevant information, and cooperate with law enforcement and the relevant authorities.

11. A closing note & how to reach us

Thank you for helping make HushFun what it is. A space this open only works because the people in it choose consent and look out for one another, day in and day out. Assume good faith, speak up when something isn't right, and enjoy exploring on your own terms.

We may update these guidelines as our community grows and as new situations arise. When we make meaningful changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

If you ever need us, or want to report something, get in touch:
